As we step into the first week in 2025, Senior Pastor Yonathan Wiryohadi delivered an inspiring message to guide the congregation through “The Year of Great Harvest.” With a focus on vision, purpose, and perseverance, Pastor Wiryohadi emphasized the importance of planting the right seeds for a fruitful year ahead. Here are the key takeaways from his sermon (January 5th, 2025).

Double Grace in the Year Pey Hey (5785)

The Jewish year 5785, also known as Pey Hey, began on October 4, 2024. The repeated number 5 signifies double grace, marking 2025 as a year filled with extraordinary blessings and opportunities for a great harvest. Pastor Wiryohadi encouraged everyone to embrace this divine favor with faith and intentionality.

Find a Good Seed

Pastor Wiryohadi highlighted the parable of the mustard seed from Matthew 13:31-32. Though the mustard seed starts as the smallest of all seeds, it has the potential to grow into a mighty tree, even forming a forest. This powerful metaphor emphasizes that every great harvest begins with a good seed—a vision or dream planted with faith and nurtured with effort.

What Does the Seed Represent?

Pastor Wiryohadi elaborated on two key aspects of the “seed” in our lives:

  1. Vision for 2025

A clear vision is vital for success. Drawing from Proverbs 29:18, he warned that a lack of vision leads to distractions, failure, and even destruction. To receive God’s vision:

    1. Spend time in prayer.

    2. Study the Word of God.

    3. Seek His will with intentionality.

Pastor Wiryohadi reminded us that we are born of imperishable seed, the living and eternal Word of God (1 Peter 1:23). A vision from God is already accomplished in the spiritual realm (Revelation 1:8). Our task is to walk with God to see it realized on earth.

To make this vision tangible, Pastor Wiryohadi encouraged setting goals for 2025, aligning with God’s purpose and promises.

  2. Unfulfilled Dreams

Pastor Wiryohadi spoke to those carrying dreams yet to be fulfilled. He urged persistence, highlighting that God often tests our faithfulness and perseverance in completing His will.

A Call to Action for 2025

The seeds we plant today (whether they represent visions, dreams, or acts of faith) carry the potential for an incredible harvest. However, it requires effort, prayer, and determination. Our senior pastor encouraged everyone to identify their “mustard seed,” nurture it with God’s guidance, and prepare for the abundant harvest He has promised.
