Walking with God: The Power of Multiplication

In Part 6 of our Walking with God series, Pastor Yonathan Wiryohadi explores the principle of Multiplication and how God’s blessings can grow in our lives. Rooted in James 1:25, this message encourages us not only to hear God’s Word but to put it into practice, which brings true happiness and fulfillment.

Ps Wiryohadi outlines three types of blessings God promises in Deuteronomy 28: the Basket Blessing (provision for daily needs), the Storehouse Blessing (abundance beyond immediate needs), and Heaven’s Blessing (divine favor and protection). These blessings come to life through two key practices: Tithing and Offering.

Why Tithe?

Tithing is an act of faith that brings both material and spiritual nourishment. Malachi 3:10-11 explains that tithing creates provision in two ways:

Physical Provision: Tithes support God’s work on earth, including the ministry and those who serve.
Spiritual Provision: By supporting God’s kingdom, we receive spiritual nourishment, which brings breakthroughs and growth in our lives.

Moreover, tithing opens the doors of heaven for blessings to pour out and provides a shield over the assets God entrusts to us, offering divine protection.

Why Offerings?

Offerings go beyond tithing and allow God to multiply our resources. Mark 4:8 teaches that offerings act as seeds for future increase. Pastor Yonathan outlines five Laws of Multiplication that guide how we should give:

Planting the Seed: For growth, seeds must be sown (Genesis 8:22).
Sowing for the Desired Harvest: We reap what we sow.
Proportion Matters: The measure we give determines the measure we receive (2 Corinthians 9:6).
Sow in Fertile Soil: Seeds should be planted in good soil for maximum yield (Mark 4:8).
Patience in Waiting: Every harvest needs time.

These principles remind us that God is faithful to multiply our efforts, but we must follow His ways and trust in His timing. By honoring God with our tithes and offerings, we align ourselves with His plan for growth, allowing His blessings to increase and overflow in our lives.
